Use Case: World-Building and a D&D Art Portfolio
Patrick isn’t an artist. But he’s a brilliant world-builder with a deep love for storytelling. Over the course of a few weeks — via text message alone — I coached him into creating a cohesive, mythically resonant visual archive for his D&D setting.
What we did:
Vision Clarification: Helped him name core themes, archetypes, and tones of his imagined world — not just what it looks like, but what it feels like.
Character & Setting Design: Used AI to translate character concepts and landscapes into visual forms — coaching him on prompts and iterations along the way.
Cohesion Through Pattern: Built a visual style guide that unified the art across different characters and environments.
System-Building: Taught him a reusable process so he could continue growing the portfolio without needing further input.
Result:
A living art library — usable for game mastering, storytelling, or future publishing. Fully aligned to the world he built, without needing to become a prompt expert or visual designer himself.
AI didn’t replace creativity. It amplified it — with structure, insight, and clarity.
